Eras Tour Collection:
My Eras Tour Collection is based on every single one of the singer/songwriter Taylor Swift’s albums. Taylor Swift has been my favorite artist since I was a child, and recently I was lucky enough to see her tour. There are ten pieces in my tea set, and each of them has been glazed a color that I think best represents one of her 10 albums. Starting with the tea plates, the black one goes with her Reputation album, the purple one goes with her Speak Now album, the red one goes with her Red album, and the brown one goes with her Evermore album. Along with color, the four tea plates also each have a secret lyric carved into the bottom from my favorite song on the album they are matched to. Moving on to the teacups, the gray one is matched to the Folklore album, the pink and blue one is matched to the Lover album, the blue and green is matched to her Debut album, and the blue one is matched to her 1989 album. The tray of the tea set was hand sculpted, and is golden with the words “Taylor’s Version” stamped in to represent her Fearless album. Lastly, the work I’m most proud of in this collection is my teapot. My teapot is based on her most recent album, Midnights, and is glazed a very deep midnight blue to almost look like the night sky. I am so grateful to have made this collection, and while I faced many challenges in creating all ten pieces, I’m very happy with how it turned out. I feel that by choosing a theme for my collection which I am deeply related to, the tea set was personalized into something that I can forever be proud of.
